Responsible for departmental quality to ensure that product quality meets and/or exceeds customer expectations. Works towards the prevention and/or resolution of product and manufacturing process non-conformance. Also, participates in the establishment, promotion, maintenance and auditing of the plant quality management systems and procedures Working knowledge and experience with ISO 90012015 preferred. Responsibilities Prepares reports and analyzes trends of non-conforming material, waste, customer complaints and generates corrective and preventive actions to permanently eliminate the related problems. Review the engineering changes to make the corresponding adjustments in production, supervising those in the Manufacturing area.
Detects improvement areas or changes in processes or products, applying statistical techniques and analyzing results. Responsible of the review of calibration reports and based on the results sets or changes the calibration frequencies Gives disposal to internal or external non-conforming materials. Supervises quality auditors and inspectors in charge. Participates in coordination with the Design and Manufacturing Engineers in problem solutions. Participates as an internal process auditor in the annual internal audit program. Additional Information Occasional travel may be required Requirements B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or equivalent Engineering. 4 years of experience in manufacturing environment, preferred in machining processes. Strong Microsoft Office Suite tools Applied knowledge on Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools. Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), DOE Knowledge of gauging methodology and metrology Ability to read and interpret design drawings, schematics and military specifications Ability to analyze data, measurements, and other information to reach accurate conclusions Bilingual with strong verbal and written communications skills (English/Spanish) Supervision and leadership skills
