Brief Description Oracle is seeking an experienced Development Operations (DevOps)/ Lifecycle Provisioning and Patching Infrastructure engineer for the Adaptive Intelligence Applications team (AI Apps). The applications will use data from Oracles Data Cloud, social media and other sources to drive automated outcomes in a number of horizontal and vertical application segments. This is an exciting emerging venture for Oracle, leveraging latest technology in the mobile, big data and cloud application spaces. Detailed Description The ideal candidate it's expected to have a bias for excellence, strong experience in DevOps & Kubernetes (1-2 years)
and be confortable with closely collaborating with other teams in Oracle such as OCI & Fusion Cloud operations as well as working in flexible hours and provide production environment support by participating in rotational on-call. Among other things the selected candidate will be Devising the Development Operations and Lifecycle systems for provisioning, patching, frameworks and tools for deployment to the Oracle public cloud production environments for near 100 PERCENT uptime. Work with Cloud Operations teams to successfully implement the infrastructure efficiently. Required Skills Experience in deployment of micro-service based solutions using Kubernetes. Experience in build and deployment of Docker containers using Kubernetes and Helm charts. 1-2 years of experience with deploying and managing Kubernetes cluster in terms of patching, upgrade and security management. Work globally in a geographically dispersed team (US, UK, India). Ability to work within a Team with strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skill. Desired Skills Proficiency in scripting languages such Shell, Python, Perl. Experience in using Build Automation tools like, Maven, Gradle and Ant. Experience with Elasticity Scalability, Clustering and Load Balancing Experience with Hadoop administration with Cloudera or Hortonwork Familiar with Monitoring / Alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios. Experience maintaining CI environments with build automation tools like Jenkins, TeamCity, CircleCI, Bamboo and extensive use of Jenkins pipelines for CI/CD process. Experience in and demonstrated understanding of SCM tools Git, Subversion and concepts such as branching, merging, labeling and integration. Hands on experience of infrastructure in a coded manner (infrastructure as code) using Terraform, Ansible, Chef and Puppet for configuration management and deployment of virtual environments. Experience in building and deploying java applications and troubleshooting the build and deploy failures. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications. As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.
