What do you get to do in this position?
Responsible for the management of large team of Technical specialists & Support in Industrialization or Manufacturing engineering (Supply Chain Deployment) within one or several regions. Ensure people commitment, adapt competencies and drive changes, promote new technologies and best practices in the team. Responsible for managing the industrialization of global or regional projects for different Lines of Business. Directs engineering support in accordance with project targets (cost, quality, capex, capacities, sizing, etc) and best practices.
Manages, supervises and directs the activities of Industrialization Manufacturing Engineers in the support of new product and process introductions.
Manages Industrialization Engineering to insure the manufacturing feasibility of new products/processes. Provides guidance and support for electro-mechanical assembly, mechanical parts introduction/procurement, component support, PCB/PCBA introduction as well as all necessary related tooling and capital equipment. Responsible to develop and/or approve schedules related to new product and/or process introductions. Assigns personnel as required to support Industrialization activities.
Manages the Industrialization Manufacturing Engineering activities for Schneider Electric NAM, including operations in Canada, USA and Mexico. May also support Industrialization in other global locations as may be required.
Manages the relationship between her/his team and Development, GSC and/or other organizations as may be required to insure maximum Industrialization effectiveness.
This job might be for you if:
- B.S. in Engineering discipline (i.e. mechanical, electrotechnics, automation).
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing, automation, industrialization and production equipment.
- Experience in plant management.
- Knowledge of project management processes.
