Job Description : This specific role of the I&BC; Planning Lead is to co-ordinate and manage I&BC; key projects for planning activities to successfully deliver service, cost and inventory targets for both finished goods and dry goods. The I&BC; Planning Project Lead will also ensure processes are codified, standardised and simplified as part of the continuous improvement agenda following the Opex Innovation Planning Policy defined. Success is achieved by managing the weekly and monthly phase out/phase in of new and replacement products. Key is to ensure availability metrics are achieved throughout the change process,





whilst minimising cased and dry goods write off exposure The role needs to ensure a balance on all aspects and trade-offs related to the supply of innovation products, from managing inventory levels and minimising out of stocks and write-offs, whilst also delivering a responsive and cost-effective supply of the products to the customers. Functions: Brand Change Products & Renovations Forecasting Involvement in Innovation Planning Process and relevant Gates KPIs: Innovation Sales Forecast Accuracy: 80% – 75% Innovation Sales Forecast Bias: +-30% - 40% Innovation OTIF: 75% Innovation Write off : 0.8% – 1% Markets: This role covers operational excellence support for all 6 LAC markets: PUB, Mexico, CCA, PEBAC, Colombia, Venezuela Financial and Operational Complexity: Support correct operation of LAC Supply Chain in supply of customer product requirements for Diageo. 2 Owned Plants (10 Packaging lines) 14 Third Party Manufacturers 43 Warehouses ~260 SKUs produced ~1360 SKUs sold Direct Reports: N/A Projects delivery Perform and coordinate the Innovation and Brand Change planning process in relation to Demand, Supply & Material Planning. Actively educate stakeholders in markets on Supply Chain implications. Participate in innovation/renovation projects as Supply Chain representative, evaluate and manage risks, bring inventory, sustainable supply chain and other planning topics to the conversation. Maintain necessary project trackers to improve projects visibility Manage the weekly and monthly phase out/phase in of new and replacement products. Control allocation of products as part of projects or constraints. Connect and build best relationships with all the stakeholders to drive improvement and ensure communication flows working effectively and efficiently. Participate in Continuous Improvement Lead the Planning improvement agenda for innovation & brand change planning, ensure standardisation, codification & simplification across all processes as per the OPEX Innovation Planning Policy. Contribute to portfolio optimisation initiatives. Provide inputs to the monthly S&OP; process as required Track performance of innovation and brand change products on a periodic basis, ensuring latest Sell Out results and market intelligence are considered for the continuous re-forecasting. Generate forecast information packs to support the process Drive “what if” scenario planning to identify risks and opportunities Monitor and manage levels of Innovation inventories Monitor inventory levels on a periodic basis working closely with the Inventory Manager. Identify potential SLOBs and requirements for write-offs and input into S&OP; process. Skills and Capabilities Numerate with high degree of quantitative, statistical and analytical skills, with high attention to detail Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain operational processes e.g. S&OP;, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, DRP, MPS, inventory, conversion, logistics and Customer Service. Good influencing, stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, with the ability to challenge senior stakeholders from commercial and supply chain functions Exceptional communication skills – verbal, written and presentation Proficient in MS applications e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook Customer centric mind set. Experience 3 years + Supply Chain planning experience in CPG (Demand Planning, Supply Planning) Experience in Innovation Planning preferable Additionally, some wider cross functional experience preferable e.g. commercial, finance. Experienced user of a planning system (e.g. SAP APO preferred) Experience with advanced planning software with Demand Planning (SAP APO would be an advantage). Qualifications Degree or equivalent in appropriate supply chain, mathematical, engineering, or business degree. APICS CPIM / CSCP or equivalent desirable.
