Business Operations Manager Job ID: 1654516 | Amazon Web Services Mexico At AWS, we are building a global team of technical cloud computing architects to help our partners develop technical expertise and capacity, and to work on enterprise customer engagements around the world.At AWS Professional Services, we are building a professional services team to work on enterprise customer engagements across the Americas, and to help our partners develop technical expertise and capacity supporting these customers. To help grow and scale this business, we are looking for a Business Operations (BizOps) Manager,





with strong operational, organizational, collaboration, and communication skills.We are looking for someone who is passionate about the operations of a business, helping ensure that the business can optimize its impact on behalf of customers because it is so operationally sound.Up to 20% travel expected. Position will be based in Mexico CityResponsibilities include:Engagement Lifecycle Management· Opportunity pipeline analysis; working with Resource Management to forecast demand by specialty. Use data to predict where we need skills and capabilities and make appropriate hiring recommendations.· Maximize our available capacity to staff customer engagements. Work closely with practice managers, helping them assess staffing needs across all engagements, based on each project’s requirements. Optimize the staffing process around skill set/capability and location. Define rules of engagement for recalling a Resource that is under-utilized.· Time card and expense entry compliance; drive timely entry of billable time and expenses across the engagement teams.Business Management and Analytics· Stakeholder management; act as a business partner to Professional Services leadership team and executives, providing insights to help shape the strategy of the business.· Act as point of contact and subject matter expert on business escalations.· Business planning; establish business rhythm and cadence, leading meetings through deliverables, outcomes and actions. Own agenda development and track follow-up actions and influence leaders to complete forward looking business plans.· Analytics ; establish baseline metrics and analytics, collaborate with leadership team to track and report all key performance indicators against annual, quarterly and monthly goals. Establish and maintain management dashboards, regional reports, and executive review documents that will drive business outcomes.· Collaborate with Resource Management to develop mechanisms such as Training and Certification matrices and Consultant Skill profiles.Program Management· Analytics management; establish baseline metrics and analytics, collaborate with leadership team to track and report all key performance indicators against annual, quarterly and monthly goals.· Cross Collaboration with technical and non-technical departments to drive innovation in processes and tools. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS · 5+ year experience working in Professional Services organization or other consulting industry.· 5+ years of strong Excel experience and the ability to conduct analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations (Pivot Tables, Vlookups)· Experience using Salesforce.Com or comparable CRM for building reports and analysis.· Experience using Professional Services Automation or equivalent, extracting and analyzing data. e.G. FinancialForce, OpenAir, ChangePoint.· Demonstrated ability to develop business analytics that help a professional services organization operate smoothly, with views that will meet the needs of other business partners (Finance, Sales Operations, Tax, etc.)· Preparing and delivering state of the business documents and presentations.·Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish/Portuguese.· This person will work out of our Bogota, Colombia or Mexico City Corporate office. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · Proven experience optimizing project accounting/billing systems and processes for a professional services business· Advanced Excel skills (VBA & Macros, Power Query, Advanced Charting)· Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams· Masters Degree· Agile/Scrum CertificationAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
